School Development Plan - Numeracy
Math occurs around us throughout the day beyond the scheduled Math classes we have in our classrooms. While it is important for our students to know how to add, subtract, multiply and divide, it is equally as important for them to know why they are doing what they are doing.
This year’s numeracy focus for our school development plan will be Conceptual Understanding. Conceptual understanding in Math is knowing the reason why math rules and procedures work. Having conceptual understanding establishes a solid foundation and provides our students with the ability to confidently, flexibly, and efficiently use and apply the skills and procedures they have learned.

Please remember each child must be accompanied by an adult who also has to purchase a ticket.
Volunteering
School events, including field trips, are in full swing. If you want to be made aware of upcoming volunteer opportunities check out the form linked below:

It is also important to know that there are many ways to volunteer, including some that do not take place during the school day, recognizing these times are a challenge for most working parents.
