Our grade 3’s recently combined aspects of Art, Communities and Language Arts to create some three-dimensional Fall Neighborhoods. Creating their own house with surrounding landscapes, and using adjectives to describe it, made a very personal connection for each student.

What Can You Do With 10 Black Dots?

If you are in grade one, you can do lots of things. Inspired by the book, :10 Black dots” by Donald Crews, our grade ones explored ten frames, tally marks, number lines and number words by creating pictures with their 10 dots. Some great results!
