Caroling Assemblies

Ms. MacDonald, with the help of Mr. Stafford and the grade 5 team hosted two great assemblies this week. On Wednesday, the Grade 5 Team led the way with singalongs, stories and even a ukulele performance. Ms. MacDonald sang and we were treated with a special piano performance from Ms. Howard-Mason and a visit from a festive Harry the Hawk.

On Friday, Ms. MacDonald led our grade six handbell group through a couple of seasonal tunes as well as more sing-a-longs. Thanks to all of the staff and students that spread some seasonal joy with the gift of music this week.

Kindergarten Winter Concert

It was a packed house for our annual Kindergarten Winter Concert. The students put on a great show with lots of help from Ms. Bakker, Ms. Alm, Ms. MacDonald and the Kindergarten team. Thank you to all of our families for coming and supporting our students.

Grade 1 Mittens / Gloves

Our grade 1 classes were inspired recently after reading the “Metis Mitten Tree”. Making connections with their Social Studies program points of community and belonging, they collected 153 pairs of mittens for children and adults. Big thanks to our Hawkwood School families for your donations. All mittens were dropped off at a local fire station as part of Project Warmth where they will be distributed throughout Calgary.
