Hawkwood School Remembrance

Our grade four students under the guidance of Ms. Jonasson, Ms. Tran, Ms. Symington and Ms. Campbell, as well as Ms. MacDonald in the Music room, did an amazing job putting our Remembrance Assembly together on Nov. 7th. Using songs, reading, poems, reflections and artwork, they guided our students through the reasons why it is so important to recognize the sacrifices that were made by so many throughout the years

Many of our students also contributed the artwork they have been creating in class to the hallways leading to the gym. Through the lenses of perseverance and resilience, students created artwork using different types of media to honour our soldiers and remind us what it means to wear a poppy.

Support For Children’s Mental Health

Hawkwood School Council & FHSS is proud to host a Caregiver Presentation on Children’s Mental Health & Resiliency on November 28 at 6:30pm-8pm in the Learning Commons. Come meet Registered Clinical Social Worker, Lisa Palmer and learn how we can support our children develop resilience, so they can take on the world!
