School Council AGM

Our Council & Society AGM is Tuesday, June 2nd at 6:30pm in the library and online. Come join us as we vote in members for next school year — new faces, fresh ideas, and all are welcome!

Then mark your calendars for our Stampede Breakfast on Thursday, June 11th from 8:30–9:30am at the school!  Yeehaw! 🤠 It’s one of our favourite community events, and we’ll need a few awesome volunteers to help make the morning a success. Please volunteer if able by clicking the link:

Mornings at Hawkwood School

The recent warmer weather has provided a great opportunity for our students to get some physical activity in before they start their learning adventures in class. Our spacious soccer fields, compound and playground can hold 600+ students comfortably. Parents are reminded that our morning supervision does not start until 9:05, and students should not be dropped off prior to that.

Grade 5 Outdoor School

Over 60 of our grade 5 students spent 3 days and two nights at YMCA Camp Chief Hector this past week. The program is built primarily around the learner outcomes connected to the Physical Education and Wellness curriculum. The context of the beautiful Rocky Mountain setting makes for truly unique learning opportunities. For many of our young students this may be their first adventure away from home without their parents providing many opportunities for personal growth.

Special thanks to our Team of grade 5 teachers who took on this large-scale learning adventure.
