Indoor Snowball Fight?!?

Grade four and two buddies sharpened their math facts with an indoor snowball fight in the Hawk's Nest. Students worked on basic math facts, algebraic equations and subitized numbers represented in multiple ways. Speed and accuracy were needed to fill in a recording sheet, wading through snowballs to find different questions and working collaboratively were keys to a successful fight. 

Do You Know What Non-Newtonian Fluid Is?

If you stopped by our Science Fair last week you would? We know that the best learning adventures often start with a good question. The answer to this question, and many others, were found at our Science Fair last week. Not only was it a great opportunity for our older students to demonstrate and share the understandings they gained by working through the scientific process, but it was also exciting for our younger students to check out their projects and learn about many different things they would not be exposed to within their grade level curriculums.

Big thanks go out to Ms. Swinton, Mr. Groves and their grade 5 team of helpers for pulling this annual event together.
